Paraskevopoulos Dimitrios

Dimitris Paraskevopoulos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of the Aegean. His research interests focus on analysing social/collective emotions at micro-, meso- and macro-sociological levels, studying processes of emotional socialisation, the production of subjectivity, and the formation of collective identities. He is also interested in the relationship between emotion and language. He is a member of the General Assembly of the Hellenic Research Infrastructure for the Social Sciences and the Society for the Study of Crime and Social Control. He is also a regular member of the Hellenic Sociological Society. He has participated in conferences and research programmes, and has published articles in academic journals and chapters in edited volumes.
