Kouroutzas Christos

Christos Kouroutzas holds undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in Sociology. He is a tenured Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences, at the University of the Aegean. His research interests focus on Sociology of Risk and Uncertainty, Sociology of Science and Technology, Sociology of Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms, and Big Data, and Digital Sociology. He is an active member of several scientific associations and committees, including: National Representative to the European Group for the Study of Deviance and Social Control, Board Member of the Hellenic Sociological Association, Alternate Board Member of the Hellenic Society for the Study of Crime and Social Control (EEMΕΚE), Editorial Board Member and peer reviewer for various academic journals. Professor Kouroutzas has extensive research experience through his participation in projects related to his areas of expertise. He has served on scientific and organizing committees for numerous conferences and is a prolific author, having published monographs, journal articles, and chapters in collective volumes.
